T.I.’S “TAKERS” WORLDWIDE MOIVE PREMIERE
On Wednesday, August 4th Screen Gems Films held the World Wide premiere for “Takers”, at The Arc Light Cinemas in Hollywood. The film which will hit theaters nationwide on August 27th, brought out some of the brightest stars in music, film and television who were all anxious to get a first look at the long awaited project. In addition to T.I., the film also features Chris Brown, Idris Elba, Michael Ealy, and Hayden Christensen who all were on hand to grace the red carpet. Other stars like Snoop Dogg, Keri Hilson, La La Vasquez, Melinda Williams, Michael Jai White and Camille Winbush also came out to show their support to T.I., Chris Brown and the rest of the cast.
In an interview with MTV News T.I. talks about his experience working on the film. “To be candid, they wasn’t allowing me to do many stunts myself,” T.I., who was married over the weekend, said on the red carpet. “Due to the circumstance of my personal [troubles], I witnessed a lot of them [instead]: the explosions, the shoot-outs, the chase scene with Chris. They’re outstanding….But we worked hard, I think all of this is just a result of the hard work that was put into the project. Everybody gave 150 percent. Nobody laid back, nobody took off — everybody went hard. This is the result of that.”
After the screening, all the celebs headed over to Boulevard3 for the official After Party where they were treated to live performances by T.I. and Keri Hilson. Chris Brown also served up an impromptu performance where he danced and hyped the crowd up to the tune of other peoples hot records like “Teach Me How To Dougie”, “Shots”, “Bump & Grind” and “This is How We Do it”.
